Meet The Team
My name is Tommie Young. God gave me the vision to begin this ministry, but it took Him almost five years to convince me to do it. You know the usual excuses, I feel inadequate, who am I to do this, I am not a leader.... the list goes on but God uses all types of people with different talents, strong points, and weaknesses to bring about His will. So I finally gave in--He has overwhelmed me with His provision. It takes a lot of faith and trust in Him to do the things He asks us to, but you know what, that's what grows us.
The vision for this ministry is to meet women where they are and strengthen their faith through an annual women's conference and small groups studies as follow up. Our desire and God's is to reach the lost women of our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
On a personal note, I am originally from Georgia and have now lived in Pennsylvania for over 20 years. I enjoy gardening, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with my children and grandchildren. I am active in my church as an audio/visional team member, praise and worship team member and Sunday School teacher.
Through this ministry and the experience of it, God has enabled me to have the confidence to pursue my love for writing. I have been involved with our ministry devotionals, have a personal devotional type Blog and have self- published the first two books of my Princess Warriors Series, Battle to Forgiveness and Battle to Surrender.
I give Jesus the credit for everything! Without His hand on my life, I couldn't do anything. So, I say, If God is calling you to do something big? Go for it!
I am Lisa Weber, married to an assistant pastor of a mission outreach church and we have two children. Employed at a nursing home as a transportation coordinator. Among many interests, outdoor activities rank high on my list. I also enjoy "working out" and time spent with women at Curves. You may find me in my kitchen preparing food for the family and friends but check the gardens on the way in because that's where I'm most content. My favorite pass time is helping others. God has given me an extra dose of care for those who find it difficult to achieve. I was young when God leads us to Bradford from Ephrata, Pa to aide in the work of a church plant. The city culture was quite different from the farm setting but God has been faithful to His servant.
I have asked God many times to show me how to love His people as He does. In that finding, I'm become convinced that the breath I'm given is for the furthering of His kingdom. There has been a journey that God lead our family into that wasn't easy. He had chosen a road through thyroid cancer for me. Among treatments, depression and the pain of sickness, He has sharpened me into a tool for His glory. Guess what - He still sharpens today through the challenges of each day. It has given me a passion to walk alongside the "faint at heart". To daily minister to the soul, He leads me to. To watch carefully for the lonely. To witness boldly for Him. Striving daily to reflect to the world the character of Christ. For each to see clearly His message of Salvation. I commit to being a child of His kingdom standing up to what God gives me in life. To be a vessel for Him.
Most recently I have accepted the call to share with women as they are, where they are and together grow in faith. My motto verse, Micah 6:8b what doth the Lord require of thee but, to do justly, and to love mercy and to walk humbly with thy God.
Hello, my name is Lisa Korzeniowski. I am excited to be a part of the Women’s Power Surge Ministry as the Prayer Coordinator. I live in Bradford with my husband Ron, who is the pastor of Abundant Life Assembly of God. We have been in ministry for over 25 years. I have three adult children who are currently living on their own. I enjoy being by the water, whether it’s a lake or ocean. I call this “my happy place.” I enjoy reading, taking walks with my husband, spontaneous road trips, spending time with my family and spending time with other women.
I have a passion for prayer. When we pray, It moves the hand of God. Pray does change things, lives can be transformed and made whole. The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to “pray without ceasing.” We can do this by keeping an attitude of prayer throughout our day. Please join me in praying for this powerful women’s ministry. The Lord is doing great things!
